Microsoft Pix is a camera app for your iPhone that improves your photos
Microsoft is launching yet another iPhone app today: Microsoft Pix. While the default camera app on the iPhone takes great automatic photos, Microsoft thinks it can do better. Described as a "smarter camera app," Microsoft Pix uses artificial intelligence to improve photos by adjusting camera settings, automatically enhancing pictures, and then choosing the best out of a burst of photos.
Microsoft has even added automatic enhancements that improve focus, color, and exposure if the camera detects people in a photo. You can quickly compare the original and the enhanced versions with a toggle button. Microsoft is also adding in its own version of Apple's Live Photos, letting you create live images by stitching together all the burst frames into a looping video. Microsoft's new Pix camera app is available immediately from Apple's App Store.
